Teams will have the ability to communicate with each other inside KW Command throughout opportunities. This is in phase one and global experience is coming as well. Think Slack meets Real Estate.
The concept is to be able to communicate with the team right within the opportunity without leaving it.
Jason Abrams said if you aren’t going to set up your agent website to use as a website, use it as a listing tool. Set it up before you go to a listing presentation and feature that listing as if it were a stand-alone website.

Tips on Using KW Command
Julie Youngblood says:
Create 2 contact tags: Need Birthday, Need Home Anniversary. Wake up every day and pick a certain number of contacts to apply these dates and add to your campaigns. Julie also says if you were to move houses without cleaning first, you’d move one mess from the old house to your new house. Clean your database and start clean.
Zack Younger offers this:
Going back to MREA principles of prospecting and marketing, use designs! On page 135 of MREA, Gary Keller says “It’s all about the numbers”. Use the marketing pieces that are in designs. It only takes about 5 minutes to create a design and email it or post it on social. “If it’s free, it’s for me”.

You think about lead generation as a chore instead of a benefit. Go into campaigns and build out your campaigns for Facebook. Lead gen is what you “get to do” not “have to do”

These are my personal notes and takeaways, not official statements from KW [Lori Ballen]. I very much enjoyed the ASK Josh Team event and believe he was transparent, and did a great job explaining how they are building this engine with so many people wanting different things and while LIVE and being used at massive scale.
As an agent, I was very impressed today by Josh Team’s Ask Anything live. I’m not a tech ambassador, regional trainer or part of any “fan club”. I’m a KW agent. I too have been frustrated by the challenges of this growing system.
For me, I’ve opted to keep certain software and only use the parts of KW command that serve me and my team. I’m not trying to make it all or nothing yet as I don’t believe it’s there yet, not for me anyway.
Today, I found Josh to be authentic and appreciated the explanation of how hard it is to grow a system when everyone with different business structures, team policies, production and system levels are all wishing for different things.
And the fact that search only takes 1-2 seconds and they are working on an algorithm that will allow more search features at a much larger scale without killing that speed is huge.
As a tech-savvy marketer, I appreciate what is coming and the ability to keep the software I love in the meantime. As a real estate agent, I appreciate the database functions and as a team, am excited to see the opportunities conversations unfold (ability to communicate with the team in opportunities like slack).
Take what you like and leave the rest until it does what you want it to do. This is a personal choice from agent to agent and doesn’t have to be all or nothing. If it works, pick it up. If it doesn’t leave it alone and pick up later when it works the way you want it to.
It’s simply not one size fits all. And that’s the way KW was designed – Thank God for that!
KELLE is the Artificial intelligence (AI) inside KW Command. She is not retiring. That being said, the mobile app that we called “KELLE” is and we will now have a new APP: Command to Mobile. This will be shortly after Family Reunion 2020
Shortly after KW Family Reunion 2020, you will have the ability to create custom Smart Plans.
Due to their price increase, we are researching other options. Soon, the no-reply email will be replaced by a dedicated email assigned to you. with 3rd party autoresponders, your email open rates drop when people don’t open your email. KW command will operate in full transparency and we have to solve the problem with spam triggers.
The ability to search for and + and, or and + or, or This and not this. The challenge is that this kind of search kills speed time in the database for all users of KW Command. Scaling the features increases complexity. Search, as it stands only takes 1-2 seconds even though we are adding a massive amount of contacts as a company. This is why we are only allowing 50 contacts in a view at a time (says Josh Team). We are working on a new search algorithm that will scale to 500 million contacts without worrying about search slowing down.
The challenge is that teams are all set up differently. From couples to partners, to expansion, to traditional MREA style teams, they are very different. The policies and way teams function changes from one team to another as well. Creating robust team functions is challenging for this reason. We are working on revising the permission engine that will lend to growth on team functions. Applet by Applet, Feature by Feature, Screen by Screen, we have to set the ability for teams to use permissions. We are going to release features in the meantime to help teams be more productive.
1.) See Notes across opportunities and work WITH your team in opportunities (like Slack).
2.) Lead routing will be open-ended based on rules in the round-robin. There will be a lead pool that agents can collect from as well. Shared contacts will improve.
3.) We are bridging the gap by allowing the rainmaker to say who owns a contact. This isn’t a permanent solution, and it’s a bandaid for now to allow these permissions.
4.) There are 2 slots currently for Admins. We are concerned about the VAs having access to KW Command. There are many scams related to personal information. We can’t make the data easy for scammers to access. We are exploring options, but this won’t be easy. Josh mentioned potential options being somehow provided by KW in the future and we will hear more at FR.
The answers at the local level are very different than the national level. You want accurate data and the tech people are working on the local level. The short answer is that there is a team dedicated to offering an improved local MLS feed.
Not everyone has the same amount of appetite for living on the edge with technology. And while people are using certain features of Command, we are working on a less disruptive way to update features. There are volunteers that are beta testing certain features before new features are rolled out company-wide. The operational challenges should be limited. That being said, issues will still occur with 3rd part applications such as Microsoft 365, Twilio, Google Ads, Facebook, etc.
Showing anything other than the search box on the home page deteriorates the consumer experience. Our data shows that consumers want to search. Anything else is a distraction. Consider the Zillow experience which is the leading real estate website for buyers. All call to action points to search. Clustering is not favored by consumers. We have created agent websites based on consumer wants and needs. That being said, agents want more features, so more features are coming.
